|What is the throat cancer?|
Throat cancer is any cancer that forms in the throat. Cancer of the throat usually originates from cells which cover the mucous membrane lining the throat. Then when the tumor grows, it penetrates the mucous membrane and the muscle layers to surrounding tissues. The others organ will be affected are lymph nodes, neck lung.
Throat cancer can start in the oesophagus (food pipe), larynx (voice box) and thyroid gland or cells lining the throat (squamous cells.) Usually throat cancer can occur in three distinct regions: the oropharynx, the nasopharynx and the hypopharynx. Throat cancer three times more common in males than in females and generally does not occur before the age of 50.

ase is people who regularly use tobacco. Among the risk factors were:
- Tobacco use.
- Regular and heavy consumption of alcohol.
- Chronic goiter (enlargement of the thyroid gland).
- Radiation exposure
- Family history of cancer. (genetic predisposition)
